Notebook Acer Aspire 5315 review

If you're looking for a laptop on a limited budget, you've already accepted the fact that you're going to lose out on some functionality that the more expensive systems offer. Many people looking to spend less on a laptop have already accepted this and may even be looking for just a basic system to handle their day to day as a secondary computer. The Acer Aspire 5315-2191 Notebook fits this need perfectly without breaking your budget or your back.

The Acer Aspire 5315-2191 Notebook weighs in at about 6.2 lbs., placing it in the same size category as other mid sized laptops. Acer made the call that this wouldn't the type of system you'd want to use for playing video games as the integrated graphics are on the weak side. The 15.4 inch wide screen which runs at 1280 x 800 is pretty sharp looking, but on the specs this system is built on, the benefit of wide screen is completely lost. It has all the standard functionality that is necessary in a laptop like integrated WiFi, LAN ports, USB, Card reader, and the likes.

The price ranges between $350-$599 for this system. At the lower price, this system is a steal, leaving little to want for as a strictly travel/basic function laptop. Unfortunately as you reach the higher price point, you have to compare it to a completely different line of systems that it's lack of media functionality will cost this notebook it's value.
