Dell Inspiron 1420 Review

Looking for a laptop that was built especially to produce high quality performance, rugged and built to last long while also affordable and stylish, then you sure are looking for the Dell Inspiron 1420. This notebook runs using Intel be Core 2 Duo processors, has a Blu-ray disc and a 14.1 screen. Because of its build which can be described as otypically Dell because of its conventional Dell Build, it looks very much like the older Dell designs that are available; the only difference being that the white bumpers are now gone and is replaced with an appealing coat of paint.
The designs though do not in any way beat the new Dell XPS M1330, however, the build ûwhich is pretty solid- looks impressive for a low cost laptop. If you are looking for a shouty laptop with all the paparazzi, trappings and entertainment, this notebook will not give hat as it was not built for flashy stuff. This does not however mean that it is totally devoid of style. In fact, its subdued style makes it the favorite for those who want a combination of functionality, ruggedness and style. Thus, making it one of the better laptops that can be easily hauled around by any student who needs to get around quickly without worrying about its fragility.
How about the latch mechanism most laptops seem to have these days? The Dell Inspiron 1420 laptop does not have a latch as with other laptops. This is because there is simply no need for it given that the hinge mechanism is very effective in keeping the lid down and firm.
In spite of its build and solidity, the paint job on this notebook is pretty basic. There are about eight colors that an individual can choose from. All of them when typically scratched reveal a white undercoat that is not very pleasing to the eye. So, one cannot specifically rely on the finish. However, the Core 2 Duo processors available with this machine, are enough for high system performance. It also comes with a dedicated and reliable nVidia 8400M GS graphics card which can enhance the game playing experience on the system as it has more than enough ability for high definition videos and games.
But in spite of it, it is always better to keep it in mind that the standard Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 (Intel 965 chipset) is not exactly the best in town as the performance is likely to be less than optimal. The laptop also comes with an optional nVidia GeForce 8400M GS dedicated graphics card which is extremely important if the laptop is also for gaming purposes. The graphics card gives the games the required higher resolution at which they can be best viewed.
In all, the Dell Inspiron 1420 is a very lovely laptop with a solid build thus making the typical rugged laptop. What it lacks in flashiness is made up for by its subdued style but highly effective processing, speed and user experience.
