Despite of the fact that Apple managed to surprise the world with the announcement of a super thin laptop MacBook Air, Steve Jobs should be on the alert because company’s rivals are already working on the creation of a worthy alternative to compact and light laptop. For example, Lenovo is going to present an ultra portable laptop ThinkPad X300 which will not be less productive but very thin. According to the provisional data, the novelty which weighs 1 kg will have 13-inch LCD display with LED backlight (1440×900 resolution), Intel Core 2 Duo processor. It is important to note the possibility of installing 3G modules or WiMAX. In contrast to “driveless” MacBook Air, ThinkPad X300 can be equipped with DVD-drive or additional battery.
The laptop’s complete set will include 1.8-inch 64Gb hard drive. Unfortunately, no data on ThinkPad X300’s delivery or cost has been available for now.
